LOMBARDO REFUSES TO DISCLOSE HOW MUCH TAXPAYER $$ HE’S SPENT FIGHTING THE RELEASE OF VEGAS MASS SHOOTING VIDEOS

March 23, 2018

Las Vegas Metro police released the first of many videos from the Vegas mass shooting. The first set of videos are from the Mandalay Bay. They consist of Stephen Paddock, the assumed shooter, gambling, eating sushi and stocking his room with over 23 bags with the help of hotel bell hops through the service elevators.

But Sheriff Lombardo continues to spent hundreds of thousands of taxpayer money fighting efforts by news outlets seeking videos from the Vegas Mass Shooting. Nevada District Court Judge Richard Scotti ordered them released earlier this month after several months of litigation.

This week, Lombardo was back in court continuing to object to the release of video’s from the Vegas Mass Shooting, including Police body cameras claiming; “an ongoing investigation”, and “the video’s will disclose police sources and methods”. But Judge Stefany Miley rejected all of Lombardo’s claims stating, “if Paddock had lived, they would have had to turn all of the videos over by now to prosecute him.”

Judge Miley also told Lombardo’s lawyer, they don’t get to choose which videos they will release, that’s up to the court.

According to lawyers 360Daily.net have spoken with, Lombardo has spent over a million dollars of tax payer money by now in legal fees fighting the media’s Freedom of Information Requests since October 2017.

360Daily.net has requested an accounting of how much public money Metro has spent so far opposing media’s requests for video footage of the Oct.1 Vegas Mass Shooting in District Court. So far we have received nothing.
