Clark County Registrar of Voters, Joe P. Gloria, responded to allegations today from Attorney Joel F. Hansen that they are hiding behind the law and refusing to allow an examination of the ballots in a lawsuit thrown out in District earlier this week filed by five Assembly candidates following the June 14, 2016 primary. Mr. Gloria, a registered nonpartisan, said his office conducted an audit with a 3 member accuracy board appointed by his office made up of one Democrat, one Republican and one independent. They took, at random, 2% of the paper ballots, compared them with the computer results and it matched 100% according to Mr. Gloria. Gloria stated “We stand by it”. He did oppose the lawsuit actively. He also stated NRS requires a judge to approve any review of the ballots and any changes to the law are up to the Nevada Legislature.  Attorney Hansen said the group plans on filing an appeal.
